Should the Mario Parties just stop?

Seriously, there are waaay too many Mario Parties! When Mario Party 1 first came out, it was a fresh idea that many people were interested in and it was a hit! Mario Party 2? It was okay, it added a couple of interesting features that made the game rule. But now that there's been 8 Mario Parties, don't you think it's getting a little bit old? There have been a lot of gimmicks in the Mario Parties and they're not so fun anymore.

What are your thoughts?

Maybe, but probably not. BUT they should have way less (like, 3 for each consol is a little much, maybe 1 or 2) and make sure that they have actual IMPROVEMENTS!!! That would be nice. so, there's my two cents, you freakin money stealers.

Actually, there are 12. XD There is a GBA, a DS, and arcade, and a card game version. I own 11. XD Guess which one I don't have! Razz

Actually, I love the Mario Parties! I don't mind the tons of them, but they don't change much. Sad

1, 3, 5, 7, and DS are amazingly good, though, DS in particular. I think they should should make a Mario Party with a collection of all the best boards and mini-games. With E. Gadd as a character!

I think that they need to stop. Now. They really started running out of ideas when they launched #6. Then they tried it on a new console: The Wii. They failed. Miserably. So seeing that making Mario Parties on new consoles doesn't = more fun, they did it again on the DS, and added wireless compatability. It worked better than the Wii's #8, but people still got bored fast. If they attempt another Mario Party, something's wrong. My first Mario Party was 4. Really fun. Then I skipped 5, and went right on into 6. I was so excited for a new Mario Party, and it turns out that it was terrible. So I thought that I'd try #7 so that they could redeem themselves. Better ideas, games, and boards, but then I got bored. I was the most excited when they announced the release of #8 for the Wii. How could they get it wrong with the kind of possibilties on the Wii? Well, they found a way and screwed up BAD. I have now officially given up on the series that continues to waste my money. I refuse to buy another if they make one.

I've noticed that every other Mario Party is properly amazing (to me). As I've said, I own them all but the arcade version, so I know each of them.

Mario Party 1 was a fun, new idea. One of the best Mario Parties.
3 had insane new, amazingly fun minigames!
5 and great boards and minigames!
7 was amazing again! Great boards and minigames!
And DS is surprisingly awesome!

Yup!

I like them all, really, but 8 was a bit weak. Also, the card game...

I have to agree with Vyucs =( There are way too many Mario Parties and they're just getting worse now =(

The first 3 Mario Parties were amazing and really fun. The 4th one was still really good, but it was a bit worse since the items weren't as cool and it it didn't have as many mini-games, but it was still good. I enjoyed Mario Party 5 and I thought it was fun, but I think that capsules never should have been added.

I never played any other ones for a while, but I thought, oh Mario Party 8 might actually be good, so I got it and was disappointed =( It's actually not as bad as I act it is, but it still sucks in my opinion. Advance actually seems good though, and it's different than the other Mario Parties.

A really great Mario Party can be made again though, but I doubt it =(
